Salary: £37,868 – £56,154 per year

Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary of £56,154 is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3.

Teach Now is recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Brent from September 2026. This role is ideal for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators looking to join a supportive department that values high-quality teaching and student success.

The school offers an excellent induction programme and strong mentoring support for ECTs, making it a great environment to develop your teaching career while delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3–5.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3–KS5

• Teach elements of Biology, Chemistry and Physics within the general science curriculum

• Prepare students effectively for GCSE and A-Level examinations

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback and support

• Differentiate lessons to support mixed-ability learners

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement

• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department

• Contribute to school events, enrichment activities and STEM initiatives

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome to apply)

• Degree in Science or a related subject

• Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4

• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry and Physics

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Commitment to raising student attainment and engagement

• Experience teaching A-Level Science or supporting STEM enrichment activities would be advantageous.
