An inclusive and friendly primary school in Wembley is looking to appoint a skilled Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioural needs, and speech and language difficulties. This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inclusion and committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning. You’ll be a key part of the support network around the child, working closely with school staff and external professionals to ensure consistent and meaningful progress.

• Deliver tailored 1:1 support to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
• Use effective strategies to support emotional regulation and manage behaviour positively.
• Assist with learning activities across the school day, both in the classroom and during interventions.
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and visiting specialists.
• Promote independence, confidence, communication, and social skills.

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (Candidates with a Level 2 qualification and strong SEND experience will also be considered).
• Previous experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Proven experience supporting pupils with ASD and behavioural challenges.
• Knowledge of speech and language development and associated needs.
• A calm, adaptable, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
