We are recruiting an experienced Sourcing Manager to join a leading national retailer within the Commercial team in the central office in North London.

• Develop and manage the Sourcing strategy for the specified categories within own brand
• Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
• Understand key cost drivers (and impacts) within your category and continuously identify opportunities for improvement
• Full responsibility of negotiation of cost price increases and ensuring timelines are communicated throughout the process.
• Continue to work collaboratively with current suppliers on reducing COGS and expanding the range opportunities
• Maintain outstanding levels of supplier service and work seamlessly with internal departments to resolve issues promptly.
• Always seek new suppliers to deliver a stronger commercial offer than current suppliers, or to supply new/alternate products and categories to the business
• Analyse sales figures to plan successful future lines with the own brand team.
• Work closely with the new product development teams to maintain quality levels within products.
• Present reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management team

• Proven previous Buying / Procurement / Sourcing experience within a fast-moving FMCG / Food environment.
• Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
• Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
• Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
