Data Engineer
About the Role
As an Associate Data Platform Engineer in the Cyber Data Platform team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of a robust data platform that enables users to develop advanced analytics and solutions to strengthen our security defenses. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional data teams to ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and aligned with cybersecurity goals.
Responsibilities- Data Architecture:
Support the implementation of real‑time, near real‑time, and batch data architectures that support threat detection, incident response, and reporting through advanced analytics, machine learning, and GenAI capabilities. - Data Integration and Transformation:
Implement automated frameworks for integrating data from various security sources into the security data lake, and for transforming data between raw, trusted, and curated layers. - Coding and Documentation:
Contribute to raising the quality bar of the team’s codebase by producing high‑quality code and documentation of data platform architecture, processes, and best practices. - Automation and Dev Ops:
Implement various automations and Dev Ops practices to streamline the deployment, configuration, and management of data platform components. - Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and actively participate in resolving issues related to data platform operations, providing support as needed.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with ETL and ELT frameworks and orchestration tools such as Airflow and DBT.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks) or similar technologies.
- Understanding of data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed systems such as Event Hub, Kafka, Spark.
- Familiarity with Terraform and CI/CD (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins).
- Desire to learn about cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Strong and proactive communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with collaborative development methods such as mob or pair programming is a plus.
- Annual bonus scheme of up to 10% of base salary.
