Job Title: Contract Global Study Asset Manager (GSAM) - January 2026
Location: Welwyn (Hybrid - 3 days WFH)Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekPay: £339.27 - £376.97 per day (PAYE) or £450.00 - £500.00 per day (UMB)Contract: 6-month contract (Inside IR35)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Global Study Asset Manager (GSAM) to join one of our longstanding clients, a global pharmaceutical organisation, in a hybrid UK-based role.
This position is a hands-on, operational delivery role, supporting the execution of a portfolio of global clinical studies within an established governance framework. The role focuses on day-to-day study operations and execution, working closely with senior study leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to ensure high-quality and efficient study delivery.
The therapeutic focus is predominantly Oncology, although studies may also support additional therapy areas aligned to the client's wider portfolio.
This role does not carry strategic, line management, or director-level accountability and is ideally suited to candidates operating at Study Manager / Global Study Operations level.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience within clinical operations or study management
- Strong understanding of drug development processes and ICH-GCP guidelines
- Degree qualified or equivalent relevant experience (life sciences preferred)
- Experience operating within established study governance and delivery frameworks
- Experience supporting Oncology studies is highly desirable, although experience across other therapy areas will also be considered
- Confident working in fast-paced, matrixed, global environments
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive, delivery-focused approach with strong attention to quality and compliance
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver operational study management activities across multiple global studies
- Support the development and maintenance of key study documentation (e.g. protocols, study plans, manuals, and operational guidance documents)
- Partner with cross-functional teams, country teams, CROs, and vendors to support smooth study delivery
- Monitor study timelines, quality, risks, and performance metrics, escalating issues appropriately
- Maintain inspection readiness within areas of responsibility and support audit preparation activities
- Support vendor oversight activities in collaboration with senior study leadership
- Support Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) supply activities
- Support development and management of patient- and site-facing materials
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practice across study delivery
