50,000 - 60,000 + Progression to Senior + Car / Allowance + Project Variety

A fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with JCT contract knowledge to join a family-run main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects. You'll work across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial developments while having a clear pathway to progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor.

The contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects and providing clients with a full turnkey service, including in-house groundworks and M&E. Their project portfolio includes everything from timber-frame residential developments to larger commercial new-build schemes across Shropshire and the surrounding areas. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are now looking to expand their commercial team.

In this role, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from early cost planning through to final accounts. Working within a well-structured team, you will oversee cost control, procurement, and financial reporting while occasionally visiting project sites across the Shropshire region.

The ideal candidate will have strong JCT contract knowledge and experience pricing for either residential or commercial projects. You will have strong communication and organisational skills and be motivated to develop your career.

The role

  • Managing cost control across residential and commercial construction projects
  • Producing bills of quantities and assisting with procurement of subcontract packages
  • Preparing monthly valuations, cost reports, and CVRs
  • Managing projects through to final accounts

The person

  • Quantity Surveying background within construction
  • Experience working with JCT contracts
  • Experience on residential and/or commercial projects
  • Full UK driving licence and commutable to Welshpool
