We are seeking a detail‑driven and innovative Engineer to support the design, evaluation, overhaul, and continuous improvement of landing gear, flap systems, actuators, and transmission assemblies across narrow‑body, wide‑body, and regional aircraft platforms. This role blends hands‑on engineering, technical data analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
You will contribute to engineering design, production support, inspection, calibration, and process optimization while developing creative solutions to complex technical challenges in an AAR Component Services facility.
What you will do:- Perform engineering work across design, manufacturing, testing, calibration, and efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Use CAD and computer‑assisted engineering tools to develop and refine technical solutions.
- Apply established engineering principles to gather, analyze, and interpret technical data.
- Support less complex or routine engineering assignments while building technical judgment and expertise.
- Develop and maintain master Bills of Materials (BOMs) for landing gear, flap systems, actuators, and transmission assemblies.
- Create and update Inspection Condition Reports (ICRs), component drawings, and process routings for overhaul components.
- Develop and maintain serialized work statements, modification lists, and drawings for repairs, PMA parts, special tools, and harnesses.
- Conduct receiving inspections of assemblies, reconcile part shortages, and validate configuration accuracy.
- Review and approve submittal requests from inspection teams and responses from manufacturer DERs.
- Verify component traceability, life‑limited part (LLP) cycles, and TBO eligibility, report discrepancies between exchange units.
- Create assembly procedures and approve work statement packages for all assemblies.
- Inspect final assemblies for configuration accuracy, build level, modifications, and regulatory conformity.
- Provide AOG, engineering, and technical support to internal departments, purchasing, marketing, and customers.
- Support special customer requirements, including Engineering Technical Orders and build‑level specifications.
- Travel to customer sites as needed (less than 15%).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Engineering or related field with two years of engineering experience; or eight years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hydraulics experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and disciplined application.
- Proficiency with CAD tools, engineering software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to manage and interpret large volumes of technical and planning data.
- Experience working in an MRO, aerospace, or manufacturing environment preferred
