RN (Registered Nurse) STEP DOWN – Wellington Regional Medical Center

This is a full‑time, 36‑hour per week role with a convenient day shift schedule. Overtime and other shift coverage are available for interested candidates.

• Deliver patient‑centered nursing care in the acute care setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, including rhythm strips.
• Perform basic nursing duties such as patient assessment, vital signs, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate and timely charting and documentation.
• Assist with patient discharge planning and educate patients/families on post‑discharge care.
• Display professionalism and collaborative teamwork with staff and other healthcare professionals.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and have working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Completion of a formal Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program and possession of state CNA certification.
• Current Florida CNA license (as of 8/1/2013).
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and families.
• Ability to perform EKG readings.
• Computer skills for order entry and ADT functions.
