* Job Summary:

** This Lead Training Specialist is instrumental in creating and delivering training modules and assets for customer programs which are engaging and innovative. This position analyses customer requirements, learner prerequisites, minimum knowledge base, and experience level of customer or internal trainees to develop contemporary course curriculum and training materials for end users. The role will contribute to the production of consistent end to end learning outcomes which will include analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation functions.

This position serves as part of the broader APAC technical training team to ensure training strategy, best practices, process improvement, and quality assurance. The Lead Training Specialist also works collaboratively with Project and Engineering stakeholders to ensure training materials are aligned to project deliverables and milestones. This position typically works under general supervision and direction and will regularly exercise discretionary decision-making authority.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Assess customer needs and requirements and define and implement training plans in line with agreed schedules and project timelines (in partnership with engineering, program managers, and customers
* Act as key customer contact for training activities and champion Cubic and the associated program in all interactions with the customer
* Collaborate with engineering, program management, and customer stakeholders to establish and define training content, prerequisite skills, and knowledge required
* Research, design and develop training course materials, with a focus on:  + using cutting edge training techniques, tools and delivery methods,  + maintaining Cubic standards, and  + ensuring outputs meet the needs of the client and are aligned with contractual commitments
* Evaluate and edit training materials and documents developed by other writers or engineers
* Evaluate learning material and training effectiveness on an ongoing basis based on feedback and observations, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
* Provide support on bids and proposals for training requirements, costs, and schedule
* Coordinate needs analysis activities to determine skill and knowledge requirements
* Participate in Cubic assessment moderation and validation activities to maintain the alignment of assessment with industry expectations and training package requirements
* Undertake own professional development and upskilling on Cubic systems to maintain and develop competence and to keep up to date on program development
* Foster and maintain effective working relationships with the training team members
* Identify areas for improvement with training processes that will enhance the efficiency of the training team
* Ensure that the reputation of the training team is upheld by behaving in a professional manner at all times
* Ensure all training documentation is recorded accurately and efficiently, kept up-to-date and complies with company policies and standards
