Job Summary

The Practice Coordinator oversees the daily operations of a medical practice, ensuring efficient clinic workflows, high-quality patient experiences, and strong financial performance. This role blends administrative, operational, and revenue cycle responsibilities while serving as a key liaison between clinical staff, physicians, and management. The Practice Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, optimizing patient flow, and supporting the practice’s overall business and care delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day practice operations to ensure smooth, efficient clinic workflows
  • Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times and enhance overall patient satisfaction
  • Oversee provider, staff, and clinic resource scheduling
  • Ensure clinic resources, supplies, and equipment are available, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Supervise, train, and support front-office and clinical staff
  • Assign duties, monitor performance, and address workflow challenges proactively
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between physicians, clinical teams, and administrative staff
  • Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and internal teams to resolve concerns promptly and professionally
  • Promote a culture of empathy, professionalism, and patient-centered service
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer requirements, and internal policies
  • Support leadership initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and operational process enhancements

Qualifications

  • Experience in medical practice management or healthcare operations
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, scheduling systems, and clinical workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ECW (eClinical Works) a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
