Senior Surveyor

Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Surveyor for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).

As a Senior Surveyor you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate survey services for a major infrastructure project. You’ll work closely with engineers and construction teams to ensure precision and quality across all stages of the build.

• Complete set‑out, as‑built, topographic, and monitoring surveys to project specifications
• Establish and maintain survey control points and verify structure conformance
• Process survey data and create design models using industry‑standard software
• Collaborate with engineers and site teams to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Uphold health and safety practices and contribute to a zero‑harm culture
• Support continuous improvement and share knowledge within the survey team

• Tertiary qualification in Surveying
• 5–10 years’ experience in construction surveying, ideally on large infrastructure projects and bridges
• Proficiency in 12d, TBC, or similar CAD packages and Trimble robotic total stations
• Strong understanding of geodesy and core survey principles
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme. Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project.
