Fletcher Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Plant Operator - Civil Earthworks to join the team on the Te Awa Kairangi Alliance.
This is a senior, hands‑on role for an operator who can deliver high‑quality finishing work around structures and final surfaces.
What you’ll be doing :- Operate excavators, loaders, rollers, and other plant with precision.
- Execute detailed finishing work to a high standard
- Operate excavators, loaders, rollers safely and competently
- Support lifting, placing loads, and daily site operations
- Carry out pre‑start checks and routine maintenance
- Follow work plans, JSEAs, and uphold safety standards
- Strong experience operating heavy machinery in civil construction
- Proven finishing expertise on large‑scale projects
- WTR endorsement and Class 2 licence (minimum)
- Strong safety knowledge and team‑first attitude
Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme. Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project.
