Mōtetūranga| Whatyou’llbe doing

As the Senior Compliance Specialist,you’llberesponsible for supporting and strengthening

Retail’s complianceframework, ensuring adherence to legislative,regulatory, and company obligations. It involves partnering with Legal and Compliance teams toidentifyrisks, develop complianceprogrammes, manage audits, and contribute to regulatorysubmissions.

You’llalsodrive process improvements,support business changes arising from legaland regulatoryupdates, and act as a trusted advisor on Retail compliancematters across the organisation.

This role is a 12-monthfixed-term opportunity tosupportthe team with its current workload.

• Compliance & Risk Expertise–Deep knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements; skilled inidentifyingand mitigating risks.
• Stakeholder Collaboration–Strong ability to partner with Legal, Compliance, and external regulators/auditors.
• Programme & Process Delivery–Experienced in designing frameworks, managing audits, and driving compliance projects.
• Reporting & Communication–Proficient in preparing reports, submissions, and acting as a trusted advisor with clear communication.
• Industry & Experience–Minimum 5 years in compliance/risk roles; understanding of NZ electricity and energy market preferred.
