Search Engine Optimization Specialist

Proximity Recruitment are searching for a talented, performance driven SEO Specialist (£45,000 + 15% Bonus + Benefits) to join a thriving business in Wellingborough.

In this key role you’ll drive organic visibility, lead generation, and strategic growth, making a measurable impact within a forward-thinking digital team. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and an SEO agency to deliver ambitious organic performance targets, while helping shape the future of digital presence.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead & execute SEO strategy to drive organic growth, visibility, & design appointment leads.
• Act as the bridge between marketing, content, analytics, product, & brand teams to embed SEO best practices.
• Manage the day-to-day performance of the external SEO agency, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Oversee technical SEO improvements, including crawl analyses, structured data, redirects, & site optimisations.
• Conduct keyword research & guide content creation to maximise search visibility & engagement.
• Maintain & deliver a technical SEO roadmap aligned with organic growth objectives.
• Monitor SEO performance using SEOClarity, GA4, Google Search Console, & Screaming Frog, & report key insights to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align SEO with paid media, content, & merchandising strategies.
• Champion SEO across the organisation, promoting best practices & demonstrating the impact of SEO on business performance.
