Senior Residential Youth Support Worker
📍 Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
💼 Permanent and full time
💷 £30,500 (with a bonus scheme)
⏱️ 160 hours per month; 8.30am-9.30pm or 10am-10.30am (with sleep)
📅 Implementation of a 3-week rolling rota, working 1-3 shifts per week

ZG Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Residential Youth Support Worker to work alongside a great established team supporting children aged 8 to 17. This employer offers residential care services and provides comprehensive services, including 24/7 residential care, educational support, mental health support and therapeutic interventions. Their leadership team establishes a clear vision and strategic direction for the organisation. Currently, they have opened a home in Wellingborough, opening a home in Northampton and plan to open more within the county when the time is right.
The UK is experiencing an increasing demand for high-quality residential care services for children who are unable to live with their families due to various reasons including neglect, abuse or family breakdown. To address this growing need, this organisation aims to establish children's homes that will provide a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the overall well-being and development of the children in their care.
What this role requires;
QCF Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People (or equivalent).
At least two years experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
Supervisor experience.
Commitment to working a shift pattern including sleep in duties.
Ability to motivate and positively influence others.
Full driving licence.
Job outline;
You will supervise and support staff while ensuring safeguarding is central to all decisions and practice. The role includes monitoring children’s safety and wellbeing, contributing to care plans and risk assessments, and maintaining accurate records. You will support staff development and inductions, promote health and safety, and may transport young people to school, appointments and activities. All duties will be carried out in line with company policies and mandatory training requirements.
