Join Our Team as a Bank Nursery Practitioner! (Zero Hours - Flexible Contract)

, we are looking for a Bank Nursery Practitioner to join our team. Bring your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication, and lets make a difference together!

Experience working in a childcare setting is required for this role. A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable but not essential.

Note: we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.

Pay: £12.21 - £12.45 per Hour
plus accrued holiday pay

Working Hours: Zero hours contract – this gives you flexibility to work different shifts each week depending on the Nursery needs, between 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday.

About Our Nursery

Wellingborough nursery children are very much a part of the local community and we are lucky to have Croyland Park on the other side of our boundary fence, where we feed the ducks and use the play equipment. Our nursery is made up of 4 rooms – a 13 place baby room, 16 place toddler room and 2 preschool rooms which can hold up to 32 children.

Each room has their own garden space too! Wellingborough Day Nursery is situated on Croyland Road next to Croyland Park. The nursery is within walking distance of the town and a five-minute drive from the A45. There is staff parking available.

What Your Role Involves

As a valued member of our team, you’ll:

  • Create a warm, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones, keeping records to share with parents.

Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and care.
