Job Summary
This role involves providing essential administrative support to the CAMHS Connect team. Key responsibilities include managing telephone communication with service users and families, scheduling appointments, processing clinical letters, responding to queries, and facilitating meetings. You will also undertake a range of general administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the service. The CAMHS Connect team is fast‑paced and dynamic, making this position both challenging and highly rewarding.
You will play a vital role in supporting young people and their families by ensuring efficient and compassionate service delivery.
- Effectively manage own workload and responsibilities to meet deadlines and service standards/requirements.
- Process all new referrals accurately on Systm One.
- Handle telephone queries promptly and direct them to the appropriate person if required.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the wider team and Team Lead.
- Organise daily office operations, including opening and distributing post and delegating tasks proactively.
- Record and track contact from face‑to‑face interactions, post, email, and phone, ensuring timely escalation when required.
- Manage children's records, including scanning, archiving, email correspondence, appointment booking, and formatting clinical letters.
- Ensure accurate and timely data input across all systems.
- Take and distribute meeting minutes and notes within agreed time frames.
- Maintain stock control and process orders using the appropriate system.
- Provide cover for other administrative staff during sickness or leave.
- Deliver training and support for administrative staff, bank staff, and clinical staff on systems and data entry.
- Demonstrate a high level of patient care, respecting the privacy and dignity of young people and their families.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role as requested by the Team Lead.
