Special Educator - Long Term Sub - FTE - SY

Position: Special Educator - Long Term Sub - 1.0 FTE - SY 25/26
Position Responsibilities:

* Teach students specific skills and strategies to help them access curriculum.

* Conduct IEP meetings and complete all related paperwork in a timely fashion.

* Monitor student progress; revise IEP according to progress.

* Co-teach in regular education content area, or teach substantially separate subject.

* Prepare students for transition to post-high school life.

* Communicate with school personnel outside of the department.

* Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:

* Attendance at departmental and school-wide meetings.

* Requisite licensure as defined by the DESE and SEI Endorsement.

* Experience implementing all parts of the IEP process.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* A strong commitment to helping a wide variety of culturally diverse students achieve their full potential.

* Ability to support the development of culturally responsive programs and activities that promote student engagement, family engagement, community involvement and a positive school climate.

Building Principal and/or Department Head
