Located in Greater Boston, Mass Bay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position SummaryThe DREAM Ambassadors will support the DREAM Program (Diverse Roots Empowering All Minds) an initiative focused on empowering underrepresented and first‑generation students s paid leadership role centers around community‑building, leadership development, and civic engagement. DREAM Ambassadors will assist in planning and promoting events, supporting student engagement initiatives, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment across campus. This position is ideal for students passionate about equity, leadership, and making a positive impact on the college experience.
Key Responsibilities and DutiesAssist in planning, promoting, and facilitating DREAM Program weekly meetings, workshops, and special events. Support the coordination of monthly speaker series and civic engagement projects. Foster a supportive and inclusive space for program participants. Encourage student participation and leadership within the DREAM Program.
Serve as a liaison to the Athletics Department to help engage student‑athletes in DREAM programming. Collaborate with the Marketing Department to enhance promotion through social media, digital storytelling, and campaigns. Build partnerships with student organizations and other departments to increase visibility and impact.
Assist in designing flyers, posters, and social media content to promote DREAM events and initiatives. Distribute marketing materials and utilize campus communication platforms to reach a broad audience. Support the development of creative marketing strategies to boost student engagement.
Provide administrative assistance including staffing the front desk, preparing materials, tracking attendance, and helping with daily office functions. Contribute to the overall goals of the Office of Student Engagement, Identity & Belonging by supporting inclusive programming and student success efforts.
Act as a role model and peer leader within the campus community. Support and mentor students participating in DREAM, helping them connect to resources and leadership opportunities. Demonstrate professionalism, inclusivity, and a commitment to equity in all responsibilities.
