• Location: Weirton, WV 26062 (Weirton, West Virginia)
• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN), Medical/Surgical Unit
• Setting: Acute Care – Medical/Surgical Unit (48 beds)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 8, 2026 – June 7, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7am–7pm); weekends as needed
• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,950–$2,060 per week
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract nursing job
• Orientation: 1 day with Educator/Computer System, 1 day with preceptor

• Active RN license (must submit copy of unexpired driver’s license with application). West Virginia RN license preferred or compact RN eligible.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (acute care or floor nursing)
• Experience titrating drips (heparin, bumex, lasix). No cardiac drip titration required.
• Comfortable floating to Med/Surg, Med/Surg-Telemetry, or IMC units for lower-acuity patients as needed
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation
• First-time travelers welcome — excellent travel nurse opportunity

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population (common diagnoses: pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls/weakness)
• Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (typically 1:5–7 on days)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team: patient care techs, respiratory therapists, monitor techs, and providers
• Monitor and document vital signs, perform EKGs, apply heart monitors, and assist with activities of daily living
• Administer and titrate medications per facility policy
• Accurate and timely documentation using Cerner charting system (Cerner EMR)
• Adhere to professional dress code (Navy blue scrubs for RNs)
• Participate in orientation and ongoing education to support safe patient care
