50 mile radius rule - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF CANDIDATE'S UNEXPIRED DRIVER'S LICENSE LICENSING HITS MUST BE DISCLOSED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION - # of Beds: 30 beds - Nurse:
Patient Ratios: 1: 4-6 depending on acuity - Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS, ACLS - Common diagnoses/Types of patients cardiac pts, post pneumonia, post cath lab, seizures, ETOH- CIWA protocols, pacemakers, and more - Experience or 'Must have' skills: "Must have 2 years of Stepdown/PCU experience - Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips " - Are RNs required to titrate drips?:
Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: cardizem, amio, nitro, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, angiomax - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes, day shift charge doesn't take a patient assignment unless necessary, night shift charge will take a lighter patient assignment - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit?

- Job Duties:
ADLS, vitals, bathing, toileting, feeding, repositioning, answering call lights, blood sugars" - Hospitalist &/or Intensivist in house 24/7? In the ICU 24/7?:
Primary attending, on- call at night, noturnist available for entire hospital at night - RT available 24/7?:
Yes, Assignet to unit - RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: RT will administer breathing tx and manage resp equipment (bipap, airvo, trachs); nurses are expected to be able to troubleshoot equipment appropriate - Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips?
What brand are the tele monitors?:
Yes, Monitor tech available 24/7. Nurses expected to be able to read and interpret tele. Will be expected to print strips, perform measurments, and idenity rhythms.
- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): "RN 7-7, 6:45- 7:15 for days 4 week schedule that staff are allowed to make an ideal schedule, nothing finalized until the schedule as been" - Weekend Requirements: EOW - Holiday Requirements:

No - Floating Requirements Travelers can float to any inpatient unit, travelers are first to float - Scrub Color/Dress Code:
