Position: Production Supervisor Manufacturing Operations * Weirton, WV * Full time

Role Description

Form Energy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Supervisor to join our team at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV, overseeing our Pack assembly production operations.

In this critical leadership role, you will be directly responsible for the safe, efficient, and high‑quality operation of a key production line. You will lead a large, diverse team of direct report manufacturing associates, comprising both direct employees and contract labor. This is a hands‑on, high‑accountability role requiring strong operational expertise in a dynamic manufacturing environment ranging from prototyping and trials to high‑volume production.

You will ensure that all production goals are met on time and act as the vital link between associates and the Production Manager to maintain a continuous improvement culture. Relocation assistance is available.

What you’ll do
  • Production Leadership & Oversight: Directly manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Pack production line for the day shift to meet all production, quality, and safety targets.
  • Large Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of direct employees and contract labor. Delegate tasks and provide clear direction to ensure maximum productivity and adherence to schedules.
  • Complex Process Management: Oversee production activities that include a variety of manufacturing techniques, such as BOM/Revision management, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
  • Team Development: Provide performance coaching and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among all production team members.
  • Operational Excellence in Dynamic Environments: Drive operational execution and ensure flexibility to meet high‑volume production targets while also executing trials and experiments on the line.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, leading efforts to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular line audits and safety checks.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem‑Solving: Act as the first line of escalation for production issues, supporting Leads and Associates in resolving equipment malfunctions, material shortages, and operational bottlenecks to minimize downtime.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Communicate effectively with supervisors on other shifts, the Associate Production Manager, and cross‑functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Maintenance, Quality) to ensure smooth transitions and implement process improvements.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years of direct experience leading and supervising production teams.
  • Collaboration: Possess a strong ability to collaborate with engineering teams and coordinate cross‑functionally.
  • Process Expertise: Demonstrated experience managing a dynamic manufacturing process and managing change.
  • Team Leadership: Strong track record of successfully managing and integrating both direct employees and contract labor to achieve shared goals.
  • Operational

    Skills:

    Solid knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen), and process optimization.
  • Problem‑Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to use production data and trends to quickly address complex issues.
  • Safety Focus: Deep understanding of workplace safety regulations (OSHA) and experience in fostering a strong culture of safety.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration,, or a related field is preferred but not required.
