Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Weekend requirement every other weekend

• May be required to participate in holiday rotation

• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:6-8 on nights

• Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience

• First time travelers accepted

• Required to titrate drips including heparin, bumex, and lasix (no cardiac drip titration)

• Floating requirements to other Med Surg, Med Surg-Tele, or IMC units for lower acuity patients

• 48-bed unit caring for patients with pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls/weakness

• Dress code:
Navy blue scrubs required for RNs

• Two days of orientation: 1 day educator/computer system training, 1 day with preceptor

• Charting system:
Cerner

• Required certifications: BLS Certification and RN License

• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license with application

• 50 mile radius rule applies

• No call or standby requirements

• Cancellation policy:
Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
