Physician | General Hematologist/Oncologist | Weirton Medical Center

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department Medical Oncology seek a General Hematologist/Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in Weirton, West Virginia.

• Practice in the areas of Hematology/Oncology.
• Provide excellent patient care and actively involve in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible for state medical license.
• Completed Internal Medicine residency program.
• Completed Hematology/Oncology fellowship program.
• Board certified or eligible in Hematology/Oncology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Weirton Medical Center is an acute care, 240-bed institution (187 acute care beds, 20 adult psychiatric beds, and 33 skilled care beds) serving the Northern panhandle of West Virginia, Eastern Ohio, and suburbs of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The medical/dental staff includes about 170 physicians with board-certified physicians in medical and surgical subspecialties. Weirton employs more than 1,000 people. Weirton is located 30 miles from Wheeling Hospital, another WVU Health System hospital.
