Construction Superintendent

Highland Consulting Group is a leading nationwide recruiting firm specializing in placing exceptional construction professionals within commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors. We're collaborating with a prominent General Contractor firm to seek an adept Superintendent for the Weirton, WV area. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience managing medium to large-scale, projects like healthcare facilities, data centers, and schools, focusing on Foundations, Concrete, Carpentry, Interior work, and the entire building envelope.

This is a full-time position primarily involving local projects with minimal travel.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a secure work environment
• Coordinate day-to-day construction tasks efficiently
• Schedule and manage crews and subcontractors
• Facilitate timely procurement of materials and equipment
• Liaise with foremen to align on daily production plans
• Oversee and maintain quality control standards
• Provide comprehensive daily work reports
• Offer technical expertise and guidance to resolve production issues, ensuring corrective actions are executed
• Ensure project adherence to schedule, specifications, safety standards, and meet Project Manager expectations
• Act as the primary interface with project owners

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in motivating teams for daily productivity and efficiency
• Self-motivated problem solver
• Proven track record of career stability and successful superintendent roles
• Minimum 5 years' Superintendent experience on projects exceeding $2 Million
• Preferably experienced in large medical/healthcare/schools/laboratory facilities with MEP experience
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management recommended; equivalent experience considered
