- Under general supervision, performs full‑performance level work in multiple‑step clerical tasks calling for interpretation and application of office procedures, rules and regulations.
- Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages/complaints, greet the public, give out general information, refer to other departments, agencies, businesses.
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming/outgoing mail, maintain postage supplies and process outgoing mail.
- Schedule appointments and keep patient/client records updated in a computer system.
- Complete routine daily office tasks; order and maintain supplies of necessary forms and applications for all programs.
- Maintain lab and program tracking system in computer.
- Type letters/correspondences; print a variety of documents, vouchers and transactions.
- Type and mail inspections or official notifications to state offices.
- Maintain Rolodex card filing system on all septic and water‑well permits.
- Collect fees for service or permits and write receipts; calculate reports, bank deposits and fees collected from clients/customers.
- Maintain and document medical information, and appointment information in patient’s medical record; receive and process X‑ray files obtained from patient.
This position assists in the Agency’s operations by assuring normal procedures are followed at county offices. Serves as liaison for the county office. May act as onsite spokesperson for the agency, as directed by the Executive Director or designee. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications- Training:
Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent. - Experience:
Two years of full‑time or equivalent part‑time paid experience in routine office work. - Substitution:
College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
