Parks Division Crewman II

Job Announcement:

The City of Webster's Public Works Department seeks a reliable, hardworking, team player for a Crewman II-Parks Maintenance position.

The purpose of the Crewman II-Parks Division position is to preserve the cleanliness and beauty of City property. This is accomplished by providing landscaping and general maintenance services, including mowing, trash clean-up, pest control, and other related services. Other duties may include animal-related services and interfacing with employees and citizens.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and valid Texas Class C Driver's License. Must be able to obtain two of the following certifications within 6 months of hire:
Commercial Driver's License, TX Animal Control Certification, Weed & Pest Control Certification, Structural Pest Control Board Certified Applicators License, Back Flow or Arborist Certification. Must be able to proficiently speak, read and write English.

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with the public and City employees. Must have experience with landscaping equipment, hand and power tools, air compressors, post drivers, dollies, and other small, motorized equipment.

This is an Essential Services position, and the employee will be required to provide services in the course and scope of employment for the benefit of the public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster's citizens.

• Salary: Starting salary range is approximately: $20.116- $21.662 commensurate with experience.
