- The APC will work collaboratively with the supervising physician to manage various conditions related to kidney disorders such as, but not limited to, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and electrolytes abnormalities in the ambulatory setting.
- Utilize evidence based medical practices in the delivery of all patient care.
- Patient education, maintenance of inbasket, timely response to patients' MKO questions.
- Maintains an attitude of inquiry towards medical practices and patient care outcomes.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- Other related duties as required: telephonic follow‑up with patients, review ordered labs after discharge from clinic.

Required Qualifications- Licensed to practice in Texas.
- Masters' Degree in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner; ANCC or AANPCP Certified for Family Nurse Practitioner. OR Physician Assistant: NCCPA‑Certified.
- Current prescriptive authority.
- DEA license.
- BCLS, ACLS certified.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- At least 1 year nephrology experience preferred.
The salary range for this role is $113,000 to $173,500 per year based on full‑time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. United Health Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
