Travel PACU Registered Nurse (RN) in Webster, TX – 13-week travel nursing assignment near Houston. Seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Nurse (PACU RN) with ACLS/BCLS for a 17-bed PACU unit in the Heart Tower. Competitive travel RN opportunity close to Houston attractions.
Job Details- Location: Webster, TX 77598 (Greater Houston area)
- Setting: Heart Tower, 2nd Floor – 17-bed PACU unit
- Assignment Type: Travel PACU RN / Travel Nurse
- Duration: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
- Shifts: Mixed day shifts (start times at 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM)
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Schedule: Monday through Friday — no weekends or on-call required
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratio: 3:1
- Scrub Color: Ceil Blue or Royal Blue
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,350 - $1,420 per week
- Active RN license (valid for assignment state)
- ACLS and BCLS (BLS) certifications required
- Minimum 1 year PACU, Pre-Op, or similar acute care experience (perioperative or recovery room experience preferred)
- Proficiency in IV accessing, cardiac monitoring, and moderate sedation recovery
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Strong teamwork, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Provide post-anesthesia care and safe recovery for patients following procedures in the cath lab, CVOR, and EP lab
- Monitor patients receiving moderate sedation and manage airway, hemodynamics, and pain control per PACU protocols
- Perform IV access, cardiac monitoring, and necessary post-op assessments
- Collaborate with RNs, charge nurse, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Float to other hospital areas as needed for tasking and cross-coverage
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR and adhere to hospital policies and unit guidelines
- Previous travel nurse experience or assignments in Texas healthcare settings
- Familiarity with perioperative workflows, recovery room protocols, and cardiac procedure patients
- Certification in specialty areas or additional ACLS recertification
