Nurse Clinician III (Float) - Interventional Radiology - CLC

Join the University of Texas Medical Branch to provide expert nursing care as a Nurse Clinician III in Interventional Radiology. This is a float position with a 4/10 schedule.

Competent clinician with advanced knowledge and skill in specialty interventional radiology nursing practice. Works independently as a member of the interdisciplinary team, managing unexpected or emergency situations and serving as a resource for lower level clinicians.

• RN license in Texas
• BLS certification

• RN license in Texas
• Current BLS

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents daily patient care.
• Develops individual care plans and revises as needed.
• Executes physician orders and administers medications and treatments.
• Performs routine technical procedures/skills in interventional radiology.
• Provides patient/family teaching and promotes health.
• Plans and coordinates patient care activities.
• Delegates and demonstrates effective time management.
• Utilizes technology, advocates for patient safety and cultural competence.
• Communicates and collaborates with inter‑professional team.
• Leads in quality improvement, evidence‑based practice, and career development.
• Maintains documentation, infection control, cost containment and compliance.

• Completes specialty orientation and competency tools.
• Performs and reports point‑of‑care testing.
• Prioritizes work and maintains a safe, clean environment.
• Uses electronic forms of communication and documentation.
• Meets health screening, training, safety and CPR requirements.

Salary commensurate with experience.

• Full‑time, 4/10 schedule
• Late shift start
• On‑call required
• Float to other sites as needed.
