Overview
Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Webster, TX 77598
. This is a 3+ month assignment (Possible of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Webster, TX 77598
Duration: 3+ months Contract (Possibilities of extension)
Payrate: $21/hr - $23/hr. on W-2. Pay rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.
Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities- Prepare for patient visits by reviewing schedules, organizing charts, and ensuring all required documents are available.
- Room patients by collecting demographics, medical history, chief complaints, vital signs, allergies, and medication reconciliation.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits and assist physicians during exams and minor procedures.
- Administer injections (e.g., influenza IM) and perform advanced clinical skills such as pulse oximetry and specimen collection (including BRCA specimens), following delegation and protocols.
- Monitor and complete provider orders through the electronic in-basket, including follow-up tasks, results, and patient communication.
- Collect, label, and transport laboratory specimens accurately and safely.
- Provide patient education materials and document education provided, including language needs and learning preferences.
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, equipment, and sterilization processes; monitor expiration dates and complete required logs.
- Complete quality assurance, regulatory, and safety logs (CLIA, temperature, waived testing, OSHA, infection control).
- Ensure patient safety, confidentiality (HIPAA), and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service by answering phones professionally, assisting with scheduling and referrals, and addressing patient concerns.
- Participate in emergency response (CPR) and support a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote efficient clinic operations and continuous quality improvement.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Medical Assistant Certification
