Job Overview

Job Summary: HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a general surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with first assist interests or experience to assist a busy, employed general surgeon in southeast Houston, TX. This is an OR-heavy position. Position is open to new grad APPs interested in general surgery.

General Surgery

• Assist the surgeon in the operating room; perform inpatient rounding and help in the OR as needed.
• Participate in call rotation.
• See established/post-operative patients and contribute to postoperative care.

• The surgeon will train a new graduate or will welcome a PA or NP with experience.
• Certification as a PA or NP.
• Ability to obtain or maintain an active Texas medical license.
• New graduate APPs will be considered, but must have strong general surgery experience or a passion for general surgery.
