Commercial Loan Officer

SUMMARY:

Are you a self‑motivated, experienced professional in commercial lending? A prominent banking branch seeks a dedicated Commercial Loan Officer to join their team. This role is pivotal in developing new business, underwriting, structuring, and closing commercial loans while maintaining and servicing an existing portfolio.

• Evaluate the needs of potential clients and offer suitable financial products, services, and loans.
• Promote and cross‑sell additional products and services to meet client requirements.
• Foster ongoing relationships with current clients to maintain goodwill and explore additional business opportunities.
• Generate new business to achieve annual growth targets.
• Prepare and compile client information to facilitate the opening of new accounts.
• Gather and analyze financial data to help assess the creditworthiness of prospective clients.
• Prepare loan memos and documentation for loan approval submissions.
• Ensure all loan documentation is complete and accurate.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or financial services preferred.
• Proven experience working directly with customers, from support staff to business owners and managers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated through previous interactions with decision makers.
• Ability to prepare and coordinate proposals, review for accuracy, and navigate the underwriting process effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
