Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with policies/procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and supports the organization’s mission and values to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

What you will do in this role

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assess the quality of patient care services in the unit in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalize nursing strategies to improve engagement (e.g., employee rounding, hourly rounds).
• Provide recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff; support training, development, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in alignment with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and assistance with supplies and equipment management.

Qualifications

• RN - Verified Registered Nurse
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• 2 years OR experience preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 60 days of employment
• Basic Life Support within 30 days of employment
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 60 days of employment
