Description
TEAM UP WITH US!
The Repair Technician is responsible for tear down and rebuild of a variety of valves and packing cases to meet OEM Standards.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Tear down and inspect a variety of valves and packing cases.
• Be able to read dial calipers.
• Recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
• Basic hand tool knowledge.
• Able to stand and operate a sand blaster.
• Basic machining knowledge.
• Basic shop maintenance and clean up.
• Other duties may be assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical shop/field experience.
• Observes safety procedures;
Reports potentially unsafe conditions;
Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of the organization.
• Knowledge of MS Office and the ability to operate a Windows-based computer.
• Pro-active, problem-solving individual who is able to manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
