Position Summary
Primary duties of adjunct faculty include teaching courses in the approved discipline, providing instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses, as well as mentoring students in and outside of the classroom. The adjunct faculty member creates and maintains an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned, be they face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, or within the context of dual credit instruction.
All faculty members are expected to maintain familiarity with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
Teaching and mentoring across modalities (face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, dual credit) and ensuring effective learning environments.
Required EducationMinimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) credential standards: a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to instruct in face‑to‑face, hybrid, online, and dual credit courses.
- Ability to provide instruction that will achieve the specific goals and objectives of all assigned courses.

- Ability to treat all persons with respect and non‑discrimination.

This position is designated as a security sensitive position and requires a satisfactory criminal history background check.
