Physical Therapist Assistant – Optum (Waynesville, NC)

We are a part of Optum, a leading post‑acute care partner dedicated to helping people feel their best. This position is located at Home Care Services of Haywood Regional Medical Center in Waynesville, NC.

Sign‑On Bonus: $1,500 (if applicable).
Hourly Pay: $23.41 to $41.83 per hour (full‑time).

• Adhere to state laws governing physical therapy in home care and follow the supervising PT’s treatment plan.
• Assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re‑education, gait, functional activities, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment to supervising PT, nurse supervisor, or physician; coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.
• Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other team members on therapy within the scope of a physical therapy assistant.

• Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice in your state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or reliable public transportation.
• Ability to work in any home situation regardless of client characteristics.
• Availability to work a weekend rotation.

• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist with patient mobility as required by patient care.
