Engineer, Electrical Engineering

• The Engineer 3 position requires 7-10 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor’s degree.
• Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems.
• Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.

• Job responsibilities include creating a safe work environment by putting safety first, understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance.
• Understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance.
• Understanding design practices and work processes.
• Using all software applications used in design.
• Understanding industry and client design standards, supporting design standard and criteria development for the system.
• Supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations.
• Estimating material for projects, transmitting construction packages, and supporting specifications.

• Skillsets and expertise required for this position include introductory engineering knowledge, good problem-solving skills, discretion making independent decisions based on procedure.
• Good discipline software knowledge, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
• Experience with a PWR as a Procurement, Maintenance, Design or System Engineer is preferred.
• Familiarity with plant systems, design changes processes, plant licensing and operation is a plus.
• Experience with Maximo, D2 software applications, and AP1000 Plant design required.

• Accredited bachelor’s degree.
