Budget Analyst- Accounting - SNC

Overview

The Outage Budget Analyst – Accounting supports financial accountability through monthly accounting activities, financial projections, and analysis of outage-related expenditures. The role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of utility accounting and finance and knowledge of the specific accounting requirements of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is considered a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across site and corporate organizations, and respond effectively to changing business needs.
• Collaborative skills across multiple stakeholders and organizations.
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills; flexible, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
• Experience with Southern Company financial systems (Oracle, Maximo) preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
