PositionSummary
The Information Security Intern will spend time exploring all activities within Teleflex Global Information Security including security architecture, operations, governance and IT risk management. This opportunity will provide the individual hands‑on experience working with experienced security professionals to design and implement control measures to address an ever‑changing risk environment. In addition, the individual will get to experience working in a global IT organization seeing how technology supports business activities and strategy.
PrincipalResponsibilities
- Assist Information Security team with:
- Forensics analysis and fact gathering
- Vulnerability management process
- Security awareness training program
- Root cause analysis of security incidents
- Risk log analysis and security operations monitoring
- Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
- Full‑time undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Information Security, or similar area. Must be in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completed courses relating to network architecture and risk management with preference given to completion of security‑related courses.
- Practical hands‑on or lab experience with IT infrastructure components such as servers, firewalls, IDS systems and other network infrastructure components.
- Knowledge of industry standard security frameworks (ISO
27001/27001, NIST) - Knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing/switching, OSI Model)
- Knowledge of information security concepts and policy
- Scripting skills (e.g. Powershell, Python, etc.) are a plus
- Clear written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Detail‑oriented with solid analytical capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
