Gadsden Schneider & Woodward LLP is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support our established trusts and estates practice. This is a full-time, onsite role for a detail-oriented professional who understands the pace, discretion, and precision required in a law firm environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
You will work closely with seasoned attorneys in a collaborative, respectful office where professionalism, client service, and long-term relationships matter. Key Responsibilities
As an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to our estate planning attorneys, including:
- Preparing, editing, and finalizing estate planning and related legal documents from templates and attorney drafts
- Managing attorney calendars, scheduling client meetings, document signings, and notarial appointments
- Serving as a professional point of contact for clients, answering calls and facilitating clear, courteous communication
- Processing new client intakes and accurately entering information into firm systems
- Maintaining well-organized digital and physical client files, including active and archived matters
- Coordinating the execution and distribution of client documents
- Notarizing documents or obtaining a notary commission, if not already commissioned
Qualifications & Experience
This role is best suited for a candidate who brings prior law firm experience and can work independently with minimal supervision. Ideal qualifications include:
- Prior experience as a legal administrative assistant or legal secretary in a law firm
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and advanced proofreading abilities
- Proven ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and prioritize work effectively
- Professional demeanor and strong client-service mindset
- Familiarity with legal document preparation and file management systems
- Notary commission or eligibility to obtain one
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Experience in estate planning is desired.
