Position: Enterprise Campus Network Architect

Hours: M-F Regular business hours

Location: Hybrid – Onsite T-Th, Remote M&F. Multiple locations:
Wayne, PA, Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Scottsdale, AZ

Compensation: $72-$100/hr (W2)

Job Profile

Summary:

Executes the vision, future direction, and initiative roadmap for strategic infrastructure technology programs, with a focus on enterprise campus networking architectures, including wired and wireless access, network access control (NAC), and identity‑based policy enforcement. Defines reference and implementation architectures that enable secure, scalable, resilient, and user‑centric campus environments across corporate offices, branch locations, and critical facilities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Defines and governs enterprise campus network architectures, including wired access, wireless LAN (WLAN), and edge connectivity designs.
• Provides architectural leadership for network access control (NAC) solutions, including Cisco ISE, covering authentication, authorization, profiling, posture assessment, and policy enforcement.
• Leads the design and standardization of enterprise wireless architectures using Aruba Networks platforms, including controller‑based and controller‑less designs, RF planning, roaming, and high‑availability models.
• Establishes standards for secure user and device onboarding, guest access, BYOD, and IoT connectivity across campus environments.
• Ensures campus network designs align with zero trust principles, identity‑based segmentation, and enterprise security standards.
• Defines patterns for integrating campus networks with data center, WAN, SD‑WAN, and cloud connectivity architectures.
• Partners with endpoint, identity, security operations, and workplace technology teams to ensure consistent end‑to‑end user experience and policy enforcement.
• Evaluates campus networking technologies and vendors based on scalability, operational simplicity, resiliency, user experience, and lifecycle alignment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Deep expertise in campus networking architectures, including wired access, WLAN, QoS, and edge design patterns.
• Architectural experience with Cisco ISE, including identity services, policy sets, integrations with directory services, and enforcement models.
• Strong hands‑on architectural experience with Aruba wireless solutions, including RF design, mobility services, and enterprise‑scale deployments.
• Solid understanding of identity‑based networking, segmentation, and zero trust access models in campus environments.
• Experience integrating campus networks with security platforms, endpoint management, and enterprise authentication services.
• Strong knowledge of high‑availability, resiliency, and operational governance for large‑scale campus infrastructures.

Location: Washington, DC (100% ONSITE)

Duration: Long Term Contract, potential Contract to Hire

Must Haves:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Bachelor’s & 5+ Years of Experience. IAT Level II Certification (please send copy).
