Head of Infrastructure and IT Operations​/Hybrid​/Vendor Management

Overview

We are working with a well-established enterprise organization in the greater Philadelphia area seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Manager to join their team full-time, 4 days per week onsite in Wayne, PA. This role sits at the intersection of Systems Engineering, AWS Cloud, and Networking, overseeing a modern hybrid infrastructure environment while coordinating multiple third-party technology vendors. You’ll play a key role in ensuring stability, scalability, and security across the organization’s core platforms.

• 30% Hands-On Technical Oversight & Troubleshooting
• 50% Vendor Management, Architecture Review, and Strategy

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background in Systems Engineering and Infrastructure Operations
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, networking, security concepts)
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs)
• Experience managing and overseeing third-party vendors and MSPs
• Knowledge of infrastructure security and compliance best practices
• Windows Server and/or Linux administration experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Sys Ops, or similar)
• Experience working in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment
• Familiarity with security frameworks and audits (ISO, NIST, SOC, etc.)
• Experience aligning infrastructure with parent or holding company standards
• Exposure to automation or infrastructure-as-code tools
