Overview
Human Resources Specialist – We are currently seeking candidates for a Human Resources Specialist opportunity with a highly successful organization located in Wayne, PA. The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for managing bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for hourly and salaried employees, performing full-cycle talent acquisition to support the company’s continued growth, and ensuring compliance across HR functions. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of related human resources experience, including strong experience handling payroll administration and talent acquisition.
This is a 3-4+ month contract opportunity, paying between $40-$50/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work model (onsite 3 days and remote 2 days per week).
Responsibilities- Manage bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for 300+ employees (salaried and hourly) using Paylocity
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour requirements
- Update and maintain accurate employee records (Paylocity), detailing compensation adjustments, reporting, and job changes
- Perform payroll corrections and audits, while ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance across payroll processes
- Assist with year-end payroll processes
- Perform full-cycle talent acquisition for salaried and hourly positions
- Advertise job openings, coordinate and conduct interviews, and facilitate offer and onboarding processes
- Work closely with hiring managers to determine hiring needs, optimize talent acquisition efforts, and support the organization’s continued growth
- Oversee pre-employment requirements (including background checks) and onboarding/offboarding processes
- Assist with benefits and leave administration processes, and respond employee inquiries regarding payroll, policies, and benefits
- Provide general office and administrative support related to employee experience, meetings/events, and employee activities
- Contribute to process improvement across human resources processes
- Provide additional support as needed
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- 5-8+ years of human resources experience, including strong experience managing multi-state payroll and full-cycle recruitment
- Proficiency in administering payroll for hourly and salaried professionals, while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- Previous experience using Paylocity (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and evolving timelines
