Operations Manager, Supply Chain / Intl. Trade
The Category Manager leads sourcing and vendor management strategies for propane storage tanks, parts, and technical field services. This role ensures asset and parts availability, safety compliance, and cost efficiency across both capital and operating spend. Success requires strong use of industry insights, financial and market data, and category expertise to drive disciplined cost management, contract lifecycle oversight, supplier performance, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:
- Lead strategic sourcing for tanks, parts, and technical services.
- Develop supplier segmentation and long-term partnerships for critical assets.
- Drive standardization of specifications and approved parts lists.
- Partner with Operations, Safety, Finance, Inventory and Fixed Asset Strategy teams.
- Manage supply risk, lead times, and capacity constraints.
- Implement performance-based contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify cost-reduction and working capital opportunities.
- Support inventory optimization and lifecycle planning initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field; SCMP, CSCP, CIPS, or equivalent designation preferred.
- 8-10+ years of strategic sourcing or category management experience
- Strong background in capital equipment, MRO, or industrial services
- Experience in energy, utilities, construction, or asset-intensive industries preferred
- Experience in inventory management and optimization models
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier governance skills
- Experience using Workday or similar ERP systems
- Experience centralizing and managing North America wide multi location spends
- Advanced internal and external stakeholder management and executive communication skills
The expected annual salary range for this role is $100,000 to $123,000 USD
