Major Gifts Officer; repost

Child Focus is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to advocacy for children placed in out-of-home care. The organization is committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children in the community and the court systems that support them.

This is a full-time on-site role located in Wayne, NJ, for a Major Gifts Officer (Repost). The Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for strategizing and executing major gift fundraising initiatives to support the organization. Key responsibilities include managing donor relationships, identifying and cultivating new donors, performing prospect research, and overseeing planned and annual giving programs. Collaboration with senior leadership and other fundraising staff will also be required to achieve financial goals and expand philanthropic opportunities.

• Experience and knowledge in Planned Giving and Annual Giving strategies.
• Proficiency in conducting Prospect Research to identify and engage potential donors.
• Strong understanding of Philanthropy and experience fostering relationships with donors to secure major gifts.
• Knowledge of Alumni Relations and strategies to build connections with alumni donors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
• Proven fundraising track record in non-profit or similar industries is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
