Job Summary
The SAP QA Lead will be responsible for leading end-to-end quality assurance activities across SAP implementations, upgrades, and support projects. This role ensures delivery of high-quality SAP solutions by defining test strategies, managing test execution, and coordinating with functional, technical, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SAP testing activities across multiple modules (e.g., SAP S/4
HANA, FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, Success Factors, etc.) - Define overall QA and Test Strategy, including scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Prepare and review Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Traceability Matrix
- Coordinate and execute:
- Unit Testing support
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Regression Testing
- Manage defect lifecycle using tools such as ALM, Jira, Solution Manager, or Azure Dev Ops
- Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and project quality standards
- Collaborate closely with:
- SAP Functional and Technical teams
- Business stakeholders
- Program/Project Managers
- Provide regular QA status reports, metrics, and risk assessments to leadership
- Mentor and guide QA team members (onshore/offshore)
- Support cutover activities and post-go-live validation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in SAP QA / Test Lead roles
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4
HANA testing - In-depth understanding of SAP business processes
- Experience with test management tools (HP ALM, SAP Solution Manager, Jira, etc.)
- Knowledge of manual testing and exposure to test automation tools
- Strong defect management and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAP upgrades, rollouts, and global implementations
- Exposure to Automation tools (Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, Worksoft, etc.)
- SAP certification in relevant module(s)
- Experience working with offshore/onshore delivery models
