Overview
Performs Mammographic and Bone Density exams; performs quality control for mammography to meet MQSA standards. Works independently with strong critical thinking skills. Processes images using the PACS system. Completes and verifies cases in a timely manner. Ensures work lists are cleaned up daily and monitors/resolves Exceptions List daily. Utilizes the Pen Rad system. Assists with needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies as needed.
Analyzes each acquired image for proper positioning, markers, date stickers, labels and patient identification. Repeats images if any factors may deter from diagnostic value. Perfers other related duties as assigned.
