3 Med Surg is a 25‑bed unit addressing bariatric, medical, and general surgical patients.

Serving the community since 1957, the hospital partners with Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to address a variety of health and communicable disease concerns.
Scope of WorkThe RN uses the ANA scope of practice and nursing process to provide professional nursing care that is patient and family‑centered, assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging. The RN delivers quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader in accordance with Corewell Health policies and procedures, partners with patients and families to set goals, develops teaching strategies, and documents education in the health record.
Qualifications- Associates in Nursing Required
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
- Graduates from a non‑accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health‑care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required upon hire
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
