We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Petroleum Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician is responsible for providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, or arranging for repairs of equipment and all operating systems. The ideal candidate is a reliable self-starter with mechanical and technical skills, takes initiative, and takes pride in their work. Must have excellent attention to detail and strong customer service.
This is a long‑term position in a growing company.
- Repair, install, and maintain petroleum equipment and related devices.
- Execute mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Complete service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely manner, ensuring professional handling.
- Assure compliance with safety practices and procedures per federal, state, and local codes.
- Troubleshoot various types of equipment and make repairs as needed.
- Utilize testing devices, hand, and power tools related to the job.
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper safe working order.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience with electrical controls and electronic wiring.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Availability for on‑call rotation.
- Computer tasks: software installation, hard drives, networks, routers, printers, other components.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Organization skills to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Team oriented, builds consensus and relationships in a business environment.
- Passion for customer service excellence.
- Keep supervisor fully informed via verbal, written, and electronic communication.
- Respond promptly to service calls or emergencies.
